Wenger's New Years Resolution

Simple, all he has to say is "I'll buy quality players." Here's my little wishlist:

Diego
Arshavin
Alonso
Inler
Hernanes

There we go. Honestly, 2 or 3 of those signings would simply delight me, but of course all five would be ideal. Being English-Brazilian, I can tell you quite a bit about Diego and Hernanes off that list. Diego would be ideal to cover for Fàbregas, as he is a very creative midfielder with a lot of flair. Oh, and not to worry, despite what people tell you, he CAN play on the wings for when Fàbregas returns, and he has done so a few times for Brazil.

Arshavin would be great for the left wing. We could then move Nasri onto the right until Walcott returns, and even then, I always viewed Walcott as a striker, not a winger. What is happening with young Theo is the same as what happened to Henry. Deployed on the wing by Wenger in the Monaco days so he could learn to beat his man, and then conversion into a proper striker. Besides, even if there is a competition for places, there is no real harm in that is there?

Hernanes would be my dream signing for us in Central Midfield. Despite his youthful age of 23, he is very experienced, having just won the league with São Paulo. He is the perfect box-to-box midfielder. He can pass, he can shoot, he can play the killer ball, but he can also defend, tackle, and cover a lot of ground. Signing him would be the best bit of business Wenger has done in a long time.

Inler and Alonso, I feel I do not need to go much into depth. We all know Xabi Alonso, the Liverpool DM. He's basically a spanish, slightly worse version of Hernanes. His passing is good and I would definitely love to have him at our club, and so would Fàbregas. Inler is a young DM for Udinese who is a very hard worker and has put in some good performances for his club.

For those of you who will remind me that I have not mentioned Yaya Touré, I'll basically say that I don't think we'll ever be able to get him. He is quite clearly happy at Barça and Barça is happy with him, so I doubt he'll be leaving them.

Fellow Arsenal fans, I am aware that several of you may be pissed off with our manager. But I can only tell you that Wenger is the one who built a team that won the League undefeated. This is his squad, for better or for worse, and there is only one man who can get us outof this shithole we are in now.

His name is Arsène Wenger.
